Accreditation Decisions Review Committee (ADRC) is an independent body fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) responsible for reviewing Accreditation Decisions made by National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC).
ADRC consists of a body of experienced people, appointed by the Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. The Committee consists of people who possess a broad range of expertise in child care, development & education (applied and academic) and/or legal processes.
ADRC considers applications from services which request a review of their NCAC Accreditation Decision. Following an objective and comprehensive review of all documentation submitted by the service and obtained from NCAC, ADRC develops a Report with recommendation/s regarding the Accreditation Decision. ADRC cannot overturn an NCAC Accreditation Decision but does present to the Service and NCAC its reasoning for arriving at its determinations.
The process ADRC undertakes is comprehensive and thorough ensuring due process is observed. Upon completing its review, ADRC provides the service with its Report with recommendations. This Report with its recommendations is also sent to NCAC. NCAC is responsible for determining the final Accreditation Decision and will advise the service accordingly.
