What can be reviewed?
The service can seek a review of the Accreditation Decision, and the relevant Principle/s and quality Indicators in the Validation Report that contributed to the NCAC Accreditation Decision.
The service has grounds for a review of the Accreditation Decision if the service can demonstrate sufficient evidence to prove that the practices within the service, at the time of the Validation Visit, had been misunderstood, misinterpreted or misrepresented.
The service needs to clearly identify the Principles and quality Indicators they believe should be reviewed. The following is an example:
The Accreditation Decision on Principle 5.2 is Unsatisfactory. Quality Indicators 5.2.1 and 5.2.2 was identified in the Validation Report as not occurring. The service considers they possess evidence to demonstrate that quality Indicators 5.2.1 and 5.2.2 within Principle 5.2 were occurring at the time of the Validation Visit, thus providing grounds to contest the Accreditation Decision. Therefore, the service may decide to request a review of the Accreditation Decision relating to Principle 5.2 and quality Indicators 5.2.1 and 5.2.2.
